Progress

I'm kind of a down-home guy who does his own electrical wiring, repairs his own plumbing, and has sex with his own wife. But perhaps I should consider bringing in a professional the next time a need arises.

  • A professional has advanced training and expertise which will permit the job to be completed more - professionally.

  • A professional has addressed many unforeseen problems in the past and can anticipate danger areas.

  • A professional can actually save you money by virtue of volume discounts.

  • A professional has specialized industrial-grade tools which are too expensive for the novice.

  • A professional is usually bonded against the possibility of injuries or other failures to perform.
On an unrelated matter, I'm not sure I understand why Eliot "The Spitzer" Spitzer received such scorn for voluntarily giving $4,300 to a young woman to be his sexual companion but then Paul McCartney was involuntarily Court-ordered to give Heather Mills $49M ($34,000 per day of marriage) retroactively for being his companion. Is it because Ms. Mills played such a pivotal role in the creation of Mr. McCartney's wealth? Did she forsake her own opportunities so that the Beatles might succeed? I'm sure Mr. Spitzer performed better after performing with his companion as well. Why is Michael Jordan permitted by the law to pay his ex-wife $150M for their time together. Because of the wedding ceremony?

Perhaps we all should be using professionals. It seems much more cost-effective in the long run.
