Rusty, the father of our children and the God of our universe, would like to sincerely apologize for some insensitive remarks made recently about the Rutgers girls' (womens'?) basketball team.
"Those are some nappy headed hos." We can see how some might have taken this as a derogatory commment. Granted, the Rutgers girls are some nappy headed hos. But, they are neither the nappiest nor the hoiest hos. A bad impression was made, and we are sincerely, sincerely apologizing on behalf of the impression maker.
He should have just left it with the ultimate insult, "They live in New Jersey."

Don Imus has been extinguished. Racism is dead.
Years from now, any of these young heroes will be proud to recall, "I was one of them nappy headed hos."

touch of sarcasm. he seems, like most radio personalities (e.g., Howard Stern) to be a man raised without mirrors anywhere near him. It reminds me of how Jose Feliciano's caretakers used to dress him.

Yes, Don Imus and Howard Stern are very much alike in some ways and it's interesting that they've hated each other for years. They're two men with over-blown egos trying to outdo one another in outrageousness and vying for attention. I like your analogy of being raised without mirrors. Perhaps some day Imus and Howard take a good look at themselves and amend their ways. Or not.
I'm not sure why the discussion has deviated toward the shock-jocks. Isn't their job to shock?
